Brooks' House of Bar-B-Q
Located in
Oneonta, NY, Brooks' House of
Bar-B-Q is more than just a
restaurant. Brooks' also provides off-site catering for groups of 100 people or more, large order deliveries for 100 dinners or more, catering on-site for parties from 30 to 90 guests at the Brooks' Roost Banquet Room and we have our own line of specialty
sauces, marinades, seasonings and grillin' rubs.

Brooks' Facts:
- Brooks' has a seating capacity of 300.

During the peak of the summer season,
approximately 100 people are employed
for the restaurant and catering service.

Brooks' House of Bar-B-Q also houses the
largest indoor charcoal pit
in the East, and possibly in the country (38 feet in length).

The average
number of customers on a week day is
600 people. The average number of
customers on a weekend day is 1100
people. These numbers do not include
our take-out and catering services.

Mother's Day
is Brooks' House of Bar-B-Q's
busiest day of the year. Approximately 1,600 people are
served in the restaurant. To be
served both in the restaurant and
through take-out, over 3,000 halves
of chicken are cooked on Mother's
Day.

In order to
accommodate our larger groups, we
constructed the Brooks'
Roost Banquet Room. Since our first
banquet in the spring of 1997, we
have served private parties as small
as 30 people or as large as 90
people. Some devoted Brooks' House
of Bar-B-Q patrons have even chose
to hold their weddings and /or
receptions in our rustic Brooks'
Roost Banquet Room.
Brooks' House of Bar-B-Q's
Catering
Service has grown over the years.

Our
catering fleet includes 5
refrigerated trucks, one van and
two pick-up trucks.

Each year, Brooks' House of
Bar-B-Q caters approximately 450
on-site barbecues. While the
summer months are our peak
season for catering, we do cater
throughout the year.

The average distance traveled to
a catered event is between 75
and 90 miles.

We have catered as far away as
Sands Point Park and Reserve on
Long Island and Saratoga
Performing Arts for the Newport
Jazz Festival.

While most of our catered events
serve between 400 and 600
people, we have served much
larger crowds. At one outing,
for the Kingston IBM
Corporation, 4,500 people were
served.

In 1986, Brooks' House of
Bar-B-Q participated in the
National Rib Cook-Off. While we
did not win, we did receive
great advertising through
television, radio and
newspapers. Someday, we do hope
to compete in the cook-off
again.
